A Taste for Life — Four Words Creativity

Fully garnished in green shrouds
Lofty mountains pierce the sky
Scrawling secrets in the clouds
With their hues of breathing dye.

Slurping on the chilling breeze
Gangling grass feels its massage,
Relishing the gentle squeeze,
Moaning out a sweet message.

Splashing drops of mountain dew
In their race above the grass,
Butterflies are passing through
Scattered stripes of misty gas.

Deep inside the forest crown
Swagging birds perform their songs
Camouflaged beneath its gown,
Voicing out their pain and wrongs.

Trembling roars spread far and wide
As ruffled beasts make their stand;
Grizzly bears will risk their hide
To defend a patch of land.

Treading paths of no return
When they’re stepping on the peaks,
Lonely men set out to learn
Tragedy from weeping beaks.

Although it’s more organized and theme-oriented than the random-word poetry prompts that I used before, the catch is almost the same. Jason’s prompt involved writing a poem using the following four words: green, mountains, sky, and message.

As I’m not a native speaker, it took me 3 full hours (1 a.m. to 4 a.m.) on a Saturday night to write and shape it into its current form.
