MLB Announces Google Cloud As Official Cloud Partner
Google Cloud is the Official Cloud and Cloud Data and Analytics Partner of Major League Baseball. The multi-year partnership was announced on March 4th and included the amalgamating of the MLB partnerships already in place. The goal is to upgrade all MLB processes to have the ability to support cutting-edge experience for fans around the world.
MLB will transfer its on-premise systems and cloud data to Google Cloud to leverage Google’s analytics, machine learning, data, and video storage and application management tools. Creating a centralized management toolset will allow the League to operate and grow at scale.
The League’s partnership with Google Cloud has already resulted in exponential advancement in both its analytics and decision-making abilities. Teams are receiving integrated data plans from the League, allowing them to make accelerated decisions.
MLB’s strategic partnership with Google Cloud will enhance the individual team’s access to machine learning and analytics, resulting in an improved experience for all.
The Google Ad Manager platform will continue to help grow the MLB media business by incorporating ads seamlessly into viewer’s screens no matter the platform.
MLB’s migration to Google Cloud will increase reliable data analytics and improve its media business through purposefully placed ads. And because all is being built on a marketing platform with the ability to scale the innovative technological information, advancements are immeasurable.
