Pleasure

I used to chase after things that left me feeling empty
But now I find my pleasure in the little things, the simple joys
I don’t need material possessions to feel alive
I find my happiness in the present, not the future or the past

This is my pleasure, I won’t let it slip away

I won’t let anyone else dictate how I should feel

I used to try to please everyone else, at the expense of myself
But now I put my own needs first, and it’s a feeling like no other
I don’t need anyone’s approval to feel good about myself
I find my own pleasure in the things that make me come alive
