Why do Volunteer Fans Love this Shirt?

The Story

The Big Orange School on the Hill saw this post and sent the boy a huge care package of UTK merchandise and supplied the boy with enough orange to wear every day if he wanted to. On top of that, the University took his design from notebook paper and turned it into a new design. The University threw it on clothing, pillows, UTK’s “The Rock", social media, and more. This boy’s story became famous to all East Tennesseeans and his story even hit NBC’s Today Show.

The shirt copies almost exactly what the 4th Grader designed! UTK took the liberty of applying their iconic orange onto the shirt and applied the child’s simple design and then added it to the VolShop. People who have never heard of this child’s story will know now of his iconic design.

In social media, this shirt took off without a hitch! Making it a story with all the outlets and making everyone excited to get one of these amazing shirts. The graph below details who performed better than others. Facebook and Youtube have tons of engagement. Youtube has loads of “Views,” while Facebook had plenty of Likes.

This information backs up why Twitter and Reddit did not have a huge engagement on the 4th Grader’s Shirt. Youtube was used for News media outlets to post their live stories onto a video platform for views or achieving purposes.

The University of Tennessee made the shirt as available as it could be and made it a limited-time shirt and donated the profits to a charity named STOMP Out Bullying.

This is every college-bound student's dream is to get a full ride to a school. People work hard to try to achieve this feat and the 10-year-old kid from Florida has managed to achieve this goal at such an age. My wish for this kid is to work hard and strive at what he loves.

So to answer the question of this blog… Why do people love this shirt? It has a lot of answers. The looks. The story. The meaning. To stop bullying. Maybe you just like all of UTK’s merchandise. Only you can answer this question correctly. So what is your answer to this question?
